I can remember much smaller disk drives, under 100MB that used 14 inch diameter patters and hydraulic pistons to move the read/write heads. The disk drive was about the same size and shape as a home washing machine. This was in the early 1970's.
Can we go back to floppy drives? I love the way those 5 1/4" floppys.. ummm flopped :)

I just d/led the newest build from webkit and it is really a great improvement. It is very fast and responsive and is not a memory hog. I encourage you to try it out.
I never been happy with safari. But this newest build, 419.3, suprised me.

I'm betting that the "Castle" will be a remote site backup of my home folder. I'd pay for that service. No backup is complete without an off-site segment. Take a look at all the destruction of the past week in the South. I wonder how many lost their data, music, video and photos to the storm without an off-site back-up.

I do believe, I and a whole bunch of friends and other ppl have used that F word at ppl that are clearly not gay. It's just colloquial and doesn't have anything to do with homosexuality. Maybe in a "small" way (i.e. "Don't be a F"), in some cases it's supposed to imply that you are "scared like a girl (or a guy who thinks he is a girl...who presumably will be scared like one)" in some sense. But that's just it.

Not true.. I am the Art Director for a Art department that makes grocery store ads.
Soda is not a common loss leader since it's DSD Pepsi/Coke keep close price controls.
I usually see produce and meat used as loss leaders..
All food margins are bad for grocery stores...they end up making the most money off of their non-food items...which is why you often see a growing number of non-food aisles.
Another point... I expect that TJ MAXX just bought up a bunch of the Refurbished iPads and is taking a $50 loss on each to get people in the stores.

Well they did pay money for it. They are probably losing between $70-$100 on each iPad.

I seriously doubt the figure of "80 iPads total" aquired by TJ Maxx that is speculated in the article, but who knows.
I think he meant 8,000. I did the math myself. All you do is count the number of stores east of colorado or so. I estimate 50%-60% of stores got 10 iPads each...throw in some Marshalls stores...and you get between 5,000 - 10,000 iPads.
(notice how some Marshalls stores are holding off on their iPads until Black Friday...maybe they are apple users who actually figure out they have a prized possession...i can see most managers just saying..what are these ipads..lets just give them away).

Congrats on finishing your first semester of law school. Couple more things you will learn in the next couple of years:
1. Illegal does not mean criminal. There are many laws that create liability that are not criminal. Any tort law, for example. Copyright laws are another example. Thus, no one cares what any prosecutor would do.
2. You don't need a grand jury for all criminal charges. You definitely don't need one for false advertising.
Hey...Perry Mason...read the whole thread. I wrote this post to respond to another poster that claimed the seller should be in jail. I was trying to explain to him that his actions were not criminal. If you would have read the whole thread, you might know that. I am aware of what charges need an indictment and those that don't. I was trying to reduce my argument to layman's terms so the original poster could understand.
